The History

La Storia della famiglia Oliveri

In the 1920’s, our grandfather Emilio began working with mushrooms in Piancastagna, a little village situated a few kilometers from Acqui Terme in the south region of the Piedmont. 

From the beginning he decided to use only the best ingredients available in the Ligurian-Piedmontese Appenine Mountains, where woodlands dominated the scenery. Experiences and family recipes were the starting point for his son Attilio, and along with the porcini mushrooms gave life to new line of products: fruits and vegetables, cultivated and selected by the people living on the land, were transformed into delicious preserves and specialities.

La Storia Peperoni in produzioneIn the following decade, we expanded our culinary laboratory in the town of Acqui Terme, adopting new modern machinery while maintaining the genuine flavour of our products. Mushrooms, vegetables and fruits are thoroughly cleaned and manually put into pots while the quality inspections are vigorous and rigorous. The majority of the ingredients we use are grown in our fields, helping us keep complete control over the products we produce. Yet the heart of the business became the shop in town where Attilio and his wife Metilde created an interesting meeting point for lovers and experts of genuine gastronomic delights, so much as to be often mentioned in the most important gastronomic guides of the sector.

Today the grandson Emilio with a young unified team leads the Oliveri company, striving for even higher quality and fuller flavour in our products.
